BS6387 CWZ provides test to:
Category C: Exposed to fire @ 950 °C for 3 hours. Category W: Exposed to fire @ 650 °C for 15 mins then exposed to fire @ 650 °C with water for 15 mins. Category Z: Exposed to fire @ 650 °C for 15 mins then exposed to fire @ 650 °C with mechanical shock for 15 mins. The current and voltage drops and data above are indicated for continuous duty operation. They are as defined in BS 7671: 2001, table 4D2A and apply to: Maximum conductor temperature = 70 °C Nominal frequencies = 50 - 60 Hz On cable in air, clipped direct at ambient air temperature = 30 °C Voltage drop: The data shown above is based on Cos φ = 1 For other laying conditions refer to BS7671: 2001 standard.
