CWZ Fire cable to BS5839-1 : 2002 Cat. 300/500v

Fire resistant, fire retardant cable with a Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) sheath. Ideal for use in buildings where systems need to remain operational. CWZ fire performance cable are designed for applications such as fire detection and fire alarm systems in buildings, for public address systems and emergency lighting.

BS6387 CWZ provides test to:

Category C:
Exposed to fire @ 950 °C for 3 hours.
 
Category W:
Exposed to fire @ 650 °C for 15 mins then exposed to fire @ 650 °C with water for 15 mins.
 
Category Z:
Exposed to fire @ 650 °C for 15 mins then exposed to fire @ 650 °C with mechanical shock for 15 mins.
 
The current and voltage drops and data above are indicated for continuous duty operation.
They are as defined in BS 7671: 2001, table 4D2A and apply to:
     Maximum conductor temperature = 70 °C
     Nominal frequencies = 50 - 60 Hz
On cable in air, clipped direct at ambient air temperature = 30 °C

1mm˛ and 1.5mm˛ Solid bare copper, class 1. 2.5mm˛ and 4mm˛ Stranded bare copper, class 2 according to BS6360, IEC 60228
Insulation:
Silicone Rubber to BS7655
Screen:
Aluminium / Polyester tape
Outer sheath:
Halogen free polyolefin
Un-insulated protective conductor:
Tinned copper according to BS6360: same class and cross-sectional area as insulated conductor.
Sheath colour:
Red or White
Core identification:
2 core: Brown & blue, 3 core: Brown, blue & grey, 4 core: Brown, black, grey & blue.
